The newly reimagined Old Pioneer Road Gift Shop at the Historic Galloway House and Village has become the newest member of Fond du Lac Fair Trade Town. The executive director Mary Patricia Voell and a staff of volunteers have worked through the winter and spring to bring new products and a new look to the shop.
A wide variety of local art and other locally produced products join a lovely selection of Fair Trade goods. Summer travelers can find a variety of unique journals for recording memories of travel adventures as well as gifts to take home such as inexpensive coin purses, folk instruments and hats for kids and gentlemen. Local visitors should check out the asymmetrical tagua and coconut jewelry, hamper style baskets, gourd bird houses, puzzle boxes with secret compartments and batik cloth napkins. Products from diverse countries of Ecuador, India and Sri Lanka are represented
